Training and Assessment

As many of you know, the Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training is no longer offered. The new training package is now Training and Assessment (TAA). It is made up of 14 units as opposed to 8 in the previous qualification. If you have previously obtained the Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training, this is still valid and it is not compulsory that you upgrade to the TAA format. Unless you are a full-time trainer, you may only need to complete a select number of elements to be able to carry out training and assessment, as opposed to completing the entire certificate qualification. Should you have any queries regarding whether or not an update is needed, we would be happy to discuss it with you.


Due to demand, Current Training Qld will be running two (2) courses in association with Southern Cross Connection covering the training and assessment elements from the new Training and Assessment (TAA) package. As some people need not complete the entire qualification, and may only need to gain competency in training and/or assessment, we have designed the following courses:
 
1) Training elements course
 
This two (2) day course covers the elements TAADEL301A Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills and TAADEL403A Facilitate individual learning. Upon completion, participants who undertake this course will be able to deliver training in the workplace and will also receive a Statement of Attainment for the elements completed.
 
This course will commence on Tuesdsay the 18th of July and conclude on Wednesday the 19th of July. It will be held on our premises at Level 1 Cattle House, 180 Quay Street, Rockhampton, with courses starting at 8:30am and concluding at 4:30pm daily.
 
2) Assessment elements course
 
This two (2) day course covers the elements TAAASS401A Plan and organise assessment and TAAASS402A Assess competence. Upon completion, participants who undertake this course will be able to assess in the workplace and will also receive a Statement of Attainment for the elements completed.
 
This course will commence on Thursday the 20th of July and conclude on Friday the 21st of July. It will be held on our premises at Level 1 Cattle House, 180 Quay Street, Rockhampton, with courses starting at 8:30am and concluding at 4:30pm daily.
 
Participants who require both the training and assessment modules are encouraged to attend both courses. However, if you only require competency in the training elements only, or the assessment elements only, you are welcome to attend only one (1) course. It is $500.00 (no GST) per participant per course, however for people wishing to attend both courses it is $900.00 (no GST)
