Conduct Environmental Audits


People who would like or need to acquire the skills and knowledge required to conduct an environmental audit in accordance with relevant environmental protection regulatory requirements and workplace procedures. This includes preparing for an environmental audit, scheduling an internal audit, conducting an environmental audit, documenting the findings, and reporting on the environmental audit results.

What Units of Competency Must I Complete?


The four (4) following elements must be successfully completed:

Prepare for Environmental Audits

* Relevant legislation, authority and enterprise requirements pertinent to the operations of the workplace, are identified and followed


* Practices and facilities required to be audited are identified and implications of non-conformance establised.


*Technical and/or calibration requirements for audits are noted and, where necessary, appropriate support personnel are identified.


*Work schedules are investigated to identify appropriate schedule for audit

Schedule Internal Audit

* Audit timings are planned to ensure that relevant procedures are conducted within workplace agreed time intervals and timeframes


* Audit Frequency is adjusted to ensure minimal disruption to the workplace


*Contact is made with appropriate personnel and appointments for the audit are made  

TDTU601A/03

Conduct Environmental Audit and Document Findings

* Operational procedures and assessment methods for the environmental audit are confirmed with affected personnel


*   Observations and interviews are conducted with (any) required approved third party


* Documentation of observations and interview responses is completed

Report Environmental Audit Results

* Outcomes of the audit process are compared to workplace procedures


*Audit results are discussed with relevant personnel
*Reports of non-compliance are documented including options for environmental system improvements
*Reports are forwarded to appropriate personnel for action  

 


Recognition of Prior Learning or Recognition of Current Competencies

Based upon your previous work experiences and/or training, you may be eligible for recognition for prior learning (RPL). These schemes may entitle you to receive credits for particular units within the Conduct Environmental Auditing program, or other Certificate programs.

Delivery Modes
Classroom, self paced.

Refund Policy Where an individual pays course fees in advance. The enrolment fee is non-refundable. The course fee shall be refunded less an administrative charge if the trainee cancels at least seven (7) days prior to the course commencement date. Where a trainee withdraws after commencement, there shall be no refund.
